Save A Life Workshop: Understanding the Heroin Epidemic

The personal tragedies that families have suffered due to the increase in opiate overdoses continues to rise. In 2016 there were 47,000 deaths due to drug overdoses. Attendees will hear a family’s personal story, and a young person’s journey through addiction and into recovery. The cause of the epidemic and a discussion about the continued acceptance of use by teens and young adults. Register now.

Susan and Steve Salomone are the Executive Directors of Drug Crisis in Our Backyard, a community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization offering education and action-oriented opportunities for families and individuals struggling with addiction. The mission of the organization is to bring awareness of the rampant use of opiates in our community and offer resources for families struggling with the disease of addiction.
