Teen volunteers with the Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) have created and decorated ornaments to spread holiday cheer to residents at Field Home, an inpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing center in Cortlandt Manor, NY.
ASK volunteers spent Tuesday, November 29th and Tuesday, December 6th, creating snowflake and snowman ornaments during In House Community Service (IHCS) at ASK. IHCS is a volunteer program that allows teens to come to the ASK office after school on Tuesdays to work on community service projects.
“We wanted to give our volunteers the opportunity to do something fun and creative to kick off the holiday season, that will also put a smile on someone’s face,” said Liz Talbert, Coalition Coordinator at ASK.
