“Each and Every Day” Watch Party

March 10, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The coronavirus pandemic has been devastating to us all, with some largely hidden effects to the
mental health of teenagers everywhere. Between remote learning creating physical isolation, missed
activities and milestones, and a softening economy and job loss, the nation’s teenagers and young
adults have been impacted greatly. According to a study released by the CDC in August, at least a
quarter of young adults have seriously contemplated suicide.

As the one-year mark of the start of the COVID-19 pandemic approaches, it is time to talk and shed
light upon these very important issues. The Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Council, Orange County STOP
DWI, and the Mental Health Association of Orange County are partnering to host a Watch Party of
the newly released MTV Documentary “Each and Every Day”. The film showcases the
experiences of young people and the urgency of talking about mental health and getting help.

“Each and Every Day” features nine young survivors that span across different racial, ethnic, religious,
and socio-economic backgrounds across the country, sharing their personal stories in an intimate
and engaging conversation that goes deep into the fastest-growing epidemic among teens and
young adults today. The audience will not only hear their stories of dealing with depression, anxiety
and other mental health concerns, but will also witness an uplifting message of hope, recovery and
the importance of treatment and honest conversation. The watch party will be immediately
followed with a panel discussion and, more importantly, a conversation with local mental
health professionals.
