YMHP – Understanding Children and Teen Grief

This webinar will explore best practices for supporting parents, children, adolescents, and teens in the aftermath of a death loss, especially one due to suicide.

During our time together, we will explore the concepts and understanding of death from a developmental context and recommended age-appropriate language for explaining concepts of death and dying to kids and teens.

We will look at how adults often avoid discussing death, especially suicide, directly with children, the implications of avoidance and secrecy, and self-care for the parent or caregiver.
