Save A Life is a program designed by the Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK) to inform and empower high school students and adults to become community allies and first responders to support teens and families in crisis. Save A Life is one of ASK’s leading programs which has directly touched the lives of over 1,000 community members. Feedback from 2015 included “….wonderful event, amazing and informative speakers ….proud to be a part of this community event ….I wish everyone in my school could go to Save A Life!”
Keynote Speaker, Kevin Hines, is an award-winning global speaker, bestselling author, documentary filmmaker, and suicide prevention and mental health advocate who has reached millions with his story of an unlikely survival and his strong will to live. Two years after he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, he attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Kevin is one of only thirty-four (less than 1%) to survive the fall and is the only survivor who is actively spreading the message of living mentally healthy internationally. Kevin’s will to live and stay mentally well has inspired people worldwide.
ASK will also be hosting workshops for both high school students and adults such as: The Dating Game, House Parties: Alcohol Drugs and the Law, Youth Mental Health, Alcohol Poisoning and Drug Abuse and Courageous Parenting 101.
The Save A Life program is offered for free to all participants. Register now.
