Police charged eight teenagers and three 20-year-olds with holding phony licenses in Murphy’s restaurant and bar early Friday.
Officers were making a compliance check at the 355 Kear St. establishment in Yorktown Heights as part of an effort to curb underage drinking, according to a statement by the Police Department.
The operation was partly funded by the Yorktown Alliance for Safe Kids, according to the statement.
The suspects are accused of having licenses indicating they were older than 21. They were arrested at 12:35 a.m.
All were released without bail and are due in Town Court at 6 p.m. Aug. 20.
A message left at Murphy’s was not immediately returned.
All of the suspects were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a misdemeanor.
